Life in Cyprus
This site describes, from personal perspective, our family experiences in moving to Cyprus, at the end of 1997. After moving here, as we settled in, we slowly got used to the vagaries, inconsistencies, and extreme summers of this small island.
At the same time, we learned to enjoy the slower pace of life, the mild winters, the wide variety of fresh foods, and the friendliness of the people. The Greek word for 'stranger' or 'foreigner' is the same as the word for 'guest'... and while it's difficult to become close to what is still a family-orientated society, we feel totally at home here now.

2005 and onwards is described more randomly in my Cyprus life blog, with the most recent entries at the top; to see older ones, look for the archive pages, listed low down on the sidebar. I hope eventually to write summary pages for more recent months on this site, now that I am no longer limited in the number of pages I can write.
